1876 LIBERTY SEATED SILVER HALF DOLLAR - AU. This Cherrypickers' Guide Variety has beautiful proof-like sea-blue, rose-gold toning.

Better'in hand' than the photos. One head die is readily identified by a very heavy top loop of an errant 6 punched into the denticles below the prominent 7. This MPD is one of two MPD's listed under WB-103, this being the scarcer of the two.

Unlike other dates where the digit is recessed in the denticles, this variety has the blunder punch raised above the denticles. Both the head and tail dies are heavily cracked. The other head die has the top loop of the 6 in the denticles below the space between 76. Both tail dies are Tail Hub Variety 1.
